Post by Rob Spectre. Filed under Technology (http://www.dreamnotoftoday.com/?cat=5). Full source code for the client for popular MMORPG Eve Online (http://www.eve-online.com/) was made available recently via BitTorrent on The Pirate Bay (http://thepiratebay.org/). Along with the torrent, the user posts a chat transcript with a representative identified as [IA]Morpheus from Eve

Most likely it's just the client side source code. The server side code is usually kept separate since it's mostly script and database dialogs. then again, it could have been a total score but we won't know for sure since CCP has locked down the shop and no one is talking because of this.

It's going to be a witch hunt at CCP. I have been through a similar situation at a U.S. game developer that had some source code leaked.
