BF2142, Anyone?

So I was bored with Counter Strike and cleaning some stuff out the other day and found my "Battlefield Vietnam" box. I always liked BF 'Nam. Everyone hated it but whatevsies. It did suck that everyone obviously hated playing the NVA/VC which pretty much killed the game but anyways...

Seeing BF 'Nam reminded me of BF2142 which remind me of First Strike (http://www.fsmod.com), the super cool Star Wars mod I used to follow.

So anyways, I bought BF2142 and am currently downloading it. Later today I'll have it fully patched and then First Strike going as well.

So if anyone is playing or would like to play give a shout out and jump on Vent if ya see me in there. Pretty much all I'm going to be doing tonight until Adult Swim comes on.

Sounds good. Think I might dig up some of the old IA 47th and see if like Saeul or Semith are playing. Used to run with them in PlanetSide.

Anyways, I'm all up and ready to go in both BF2142 and First Strike. I <3 T21 so far. Pretty nice mod. Only had a small chance to play last night and there were only like six people on the server.

But the mod or regular, I'm ready to play! Just one rank away from my heavy machine gun:banana:

I've been using the Ganz as much as I can when I get the field upgrades and I freaking love the thing. I like it so much better then the two light MGs. It does more damage and seems like it's a lot more accurate.

Plus I get muey bueno points for toting the ammo crate around. The rest of the support crap is so worthless though. At least the in the Ganz line. The little shield wall thing sucks donkey dick and the sentry gun is a complete pile of crap. I have no idea how anyone would ever kill another person with one. I keep setting up and it keeps not killing anything. And I've never been killed by one. They even worthless in titan interiors.

Anyways, I'm going balls deep into recon after I get this final support upgrade.

i think my roommate has a copy of that. theyve been trying to get me in on comcast... the schools connection is a fucking joke. perhaps ill crack that case that later. atm i dont think i could even run vent properly.

Just a heads up but the digital download from the EA Store of BF2142 Deluxe Edition is only thirty bucks which is cheaper then the average store. Make sure you get the deluxe edition though because it comes with this Northern Strike booster pack thing and the regular edition is exactly the same price and it doesn't come with the booster pack.

So if you buy the regular edition you fail.

thing about the ganz that always killed me is that it's almost completely useless in a close encounter.

Not enough time to be accurate enough... which really isn't THAT big a deal when somebody's in your face, but sometimes the quick overheat gets me too. It's pretty good at long range of course.... but a sniper rifle is probably the better bet if you dont mind limited ammo I guess...

Thats just the way things went for me.. I guess i just tend to get too into the fray, and that's why I like the Voss. Plenty of ammo in the clip, and it's great for blasting into a suprise encounter.



I just finished installing First Strike though... so... got another whole batch of weapons to test...
