Ok, let's start. Can you please explain the current situation of the game? What are you working on? What more needs to be completed before the upcoming beta test?

Right now we are working on the combat system, character advancement and loot in Earthrise. We are also making a lot of internal improvements on tools, finalizing some of the concepts, adding all kinds of content, and adding all gameplay elements into the interface. Before the closed beta test starts we need to finish the client patching systems and the beta tools.

What is your target audience? Will you aim for hardcore, experienced users or will you try to aim for both casual and hardcore? Who will be your main competitor?

Earthrise will be attractive to both the hardcore and casual players. Hardcore players will spend a great deal of time on improving their character template, PvPing and making their guild the most powerful in the game world. At the same time character movement and the combat mechanics will be easy to learn, so casual players will be able to quickly enter the action and all fun parts in the game. While offline, their character will gain income and other material and non-material benefits.

Many players compare Earthrise to different games and although it does have some features similar to other titles, there are things which are not seen in other MMOS which is why I don’t think that there is one main competitor.

Masthead already released lot of material about Earthrise's lore. Were gameplay and development conditioned by the lore or did you adapt the lore to fit the game's necessities?

I would say both. At macro-level it is the lore that follows the gameplay – the PvP, the conflict between Continoma and Noir and the territory conquest. But at micro level, we first think of the lore and then make gameplay according to it – those are the zones on the island, the quests and the items in Earthrise.

Theme park and sandbox are usually meaningless words for developers, but are really important concepts for user. Earthrise surely has lot of sandbox elements but some features are typical of theme park MMORPGs. Do you consider your game a sandbox mmorpg or a theme park mmorpg?

Although some features may be typical to the classic MMOs, the overall gameplay offers a true sandbox experience. Earthrise features a skill-based system with customizable abilities, as well as crafting where players can create truly unique items in the game and make countless customizations to weapons and armor pieces. The territory conquest will offer guilds the possibility to conquer territories and build their own structures with no restrictions other than terrain and the location of the base.

Is there anything you want to say to Gamesource's users about Earthrise?

Earthrise is the game that many MMO fans have been waiting for. A contemporary game that is currently missing on the market nowadays, with features such as skill based system, complete freedom of movement, character advancement and countless crafting possibilities, PvP with consequences and territories controlled by players; Earthrise is sure to appeal to your gameplay preferences.

Thank you for you time and we wish the best for your game.

Thank you for this interview and good luck to you and your readers.
