The Continoma Defense Forces is an umbrella alliance for declared Continoman guilds only. The CDF is designed to foster unit cohesion and inter-unit communication and coordination for common defense of Member held territory and offensive operations. It is primarily intended as a rapid response instrument for defense of existing Continoman guild held territory and the expansion thereof.
In real people speak what the CDF boils down to is a group of guilds sharing space on a unified Ventrilo server and on a forum (currently located here (http://47th.info/comms/forumdisplay.php?f=30)).
The idea of this organization was borne out of my own personal experience from my SWG days on the Chilastra server where the major Imperial guilds banded together on a single, unified Ventrilo server to better protect their PvP bases and destroy the rebel PvP bases. This was necessary because at the time the rebel players far exceeded the Imperials in quantity but with great inter-guild communication and a lot of dedicated teamwork the Imperial guilds on that server were able to dominate the rebels.
I'd like to bring that same atmosphere to Enterra.
The linked CDF Treaty may seem slightly byzantine but it's simple and to be honest I'm assuming a lot, if not most, of it will never be invoked in game. I just reckoned it would be better to have the procedures there just in case then for something to arise and not have any way of dealing with it.
I'm just humored a bit because it seems really official when the organization itself is much more simple in practice. It's just a bunch of guilds willing to help each other out economically and militarily sharing a Vent server and having a few forums to discuss things on. I swear that's all it's meant to be ;)

1. What is the CDF?
The CDF constitutes a system of collective defense and economic trade between it's member organizations.[/li]
2. Which guilds are eligible for CDF membership?
The CDF is a Continoman organization and therefore eligibility and membership only extends to declared Continoman player associations.
3. Why should my guild join the CDF?
The CDF strives to offer a powerful front organization for larger player driven faction events. From the day to day market resource allocations to the large multi-guild combat operations the CDF is your first step to a larger world.
4. What benefits does the CDF provide?
The primary benefits are collective defense and resource/market biases between member-guilds. In addition, the CDF provides a large Ventrilo server for all of it's member-guilds to use simultaneously. This unified and centralized voice communication facilitates rapid responses to developing situations in real time. For now the CDF also utilizes the "Forum Continomanum" section of the 47th's website.
5. How does my guild join?
Your guild may apply via personal inquiry to an existing member guild's commanding or executive officer. After that an interview will be conducted and membership will be submitted to the council where a vote will be held. All CDF entry votes must be unanimous for membership acceptance.
6. Who is a part of this voting council?
Each CDF member has a single vote on the council. The CDF member representative for each member-guild must be either the commanding or executive officer.
7. Which guilds are currently members of the CDF?
Permanent members of the CDF can be viewed at the CDF Member List (currently under construction).
8. Where can I view the CDF Treaty?
