- The story of Angelika Novikov -

Name: Angelika Novikov
Gender: Female
Born: 1980 Pripyat, Ukraine

Angelika was only 6 years old when the Chernobyl NPP accident occured 1986 in the little town of Pripyat in Ukraine.
Angelika was evacuated from her home town Pripyat the following morning of april 26th along with other children and eldery people.
Her parents Yelena and Ivan Novikov were forced to stay in Pripyat along with 800,000 others working as liquidators; helping evacuate the population from the radioactive waste.

Angelika's brother, Yuri Novikov, was a young soldier at the time, working for the USSR.
He volunteerd in the operation of sealing the source of radiation in the heart of reactor 4 aka. 'The Sarcophagus'.
It was a dangerous mission and he wasn't fully aware of consequences. He had always been very
strong-minded and confident though, and this was one of the reasons why he volunteerd.
The most important reason was, of course, helping his people. Beeing a hero for them.

The men who volunteerd had to throw blocks of concrete into the Sarcophagus to seal the source of radiation.
The mission was successful, but they payed for the success with their own lives. They had no proper protection,
and this resulted in many deaths by radiation poisoning in the next few days.

Yuri himself got very sick too in the days following, but before his death he was awarded the soviet liquidator badge and
was titled hero of the USSR along with many others.

Angelika remembers sitting on a bus, looking out of the window, seeing the beauty of her home town for the last time.
The beautiful nature surrounding pripyat. The people. The buildings. Her school. The brand new trailer park. Her home.
She tought to herself: 'Farewell home, farewell.'

She missed her family terribly, but she didn't cry.
She was confident that they would find her soon
This did not happen though, she never saw her mother and father again. She was told that they were missing. The truth was though, that they had died. The only one she had left was her brother Yuri.

Angelika sat by Yuri's bed in the hospital on the day of his death.
He held her hand. For the first time in Angelika's life, she cried uncontrollably. Yuri kept telling her it was okay and that she shouldn't cry, but instead be proud of her brother. She told him that she would always be.

On that day she swore that she would dedicate her life to helping people, victims in nuclear catastrophes.

Very cool, Ang! It's been like... a billion years since we've had any RP fiction. Have to admit, I've been slacking horribly in that department.

But good read. Can't wait to hear how your character becomes a clone in future additions :)
